We want leaders who are appropriately trained to lead our scouting program. To this end, we will fully reimburse leaders if the leader goes through the following approval process.
In writing (e.g. email) BEFORE registering for the training, they inform one of the key three (scoutmaster committee chair, or charter org representative), of the training and its costs .
The key three considers that training to be of value in leading an effective program and approves reimbursement for those costs. If the leader in question is one of the key 3, the other two must be unanimous in approval.
If approved,
the committee chair will notify the treasurer of pre-approval for reimbursement for this course.
costs will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the associated training.
The leader will submit both the course completion information and the associated receipt for expense to the treasurer.
The treasurer will then credit the leader’s scout account.
if not approved, the leader will be informed as to the reasons for the key three’s decision
