These rules apply to all Troop 280 activities including but not limited to campouts, troop meetings, and summer camp.
Parents: If you are dropping off your scout, Please remain until their are at least two adult leaders presents. This is required for BSA youth protection
Adult Leaders: At least 2 adult leaders must remain at an event until all scouts are picked up. The scoutmaster OR adult leading the event is responsible for this.
Electronic devices can be brought to troop activities. However, while at camp they are only useable as tools not individual or group entertainment, social media, or other uses. Electronic devices not useable as tools should be left at home or secured in the driver’s vehicle out of site.
Example tool uses include:
compass
map
weather
plant, wildlife identification.
astronomy.
Exceptions:
En route: Drivers of vehicles may or may not enforce the same policy on the way to/from the camp sites.
Scoutmaster Exception: If the scoutmaster creates an exception case.
