Subject: Information for Parade Volunteers

Thank you for volunteering to ride on the Troop 280 Founder’s Day Float.

Following are details about Friday:

Meeting Location and Time

Meeting location is 5:00 pm Friday, April 28 at 5pm in the Old Walnut Elementary School parking lot located at 310 Sportsplex Dr, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.  

at 5 pm we will be decorating the float.  6 pm is load in time.  6:30 parade begins.  

We will be in staging group C.  

NO vehicles will be allowed in this parking lot.  

Please make plans to park and walk to this location.  

Parade

Begins at 6:30 pm.  All scouts must be on the float by 6 pm.  The parade route will begin on Mercer closest to the DSISD Admin building, go down Mercer to San Marcos Street, down Wallace Street to 290, 290 to Sportsplex road.  One lane of 290 will be closed to traffic.  Please make arrangements to get there based on road closures and heavy traffic. 

Wear/Bring

All scouts should wear their Class A uniforms.  Parade walkers will also be wearing a vest provided by the parade officials.

Please bring a camping chair, wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle.
