The troop and parents are able to leverage Slack for communications and to archive various key information, questions, events, and processes important to the Troop. The Troop’s Slack instance can be accessed via a web browser and via the Slack app on a smartphone. Each major event or campout will have a Slack channel created for scouts and parent to join. This will help our members more easily focus communications they are interested in.
Scoutbook is the online resource about the troop’s calendar as well as database for contacts and scout advancement. Once registered with the troop, make sure you and your scout can login and and are getting emails about troop activities. If there are any issues, contact the Troop Committee Chair.
This is administered through a google site. Specific leaders such as the scoutmaster, committee chair, treasurer, and membership chair may have accounts on that site with associated drive storage and other access priveledges. NOTE: As leader transition roles it is important that they clear any information they have stored as part of that google account on any browsers or other web services.
The troop webmaster, committee chair, and scoutmaster will have admin access to this and other web-based services.
