Watch to keep time between classes. The scouts phone may not be able to be charged during the campout for such purposes.

Sun protection such as headwear and sunscreen are essential.
Camera for memories.
Prescriptions / Medication
Please give prescription and non-prescription medication with clear directions to the scoutmaster.
The med lodge and troop med kit will have most non-prescription needs but check with the scoutmaster for specifics.
If you are in Order of the Arrow bring your sash. There is usually a special event for OA members.
Bag for dirty laundry
A day pack to carry items between the campsite and merit badge classes.
If your scout is taking welding merit badge – bring jeans and cotton shirts – no synthetics or shorts.
Cash: Bring cash for lunch on trip there and lunch on trip back. Bring enough cash for snacks, sodas, souvenirs as you see fit. You may want to suggest your scout pack cash with each days clothes to ration their supply.
Subtractions
A backpack is not necessary. However, some camps may have overnight hiking programs where a backpack would be useful.
A tent has not been necessary historically. Camps provide a canvas tent or Adirondack tent to be shared for 2-3 scouts.
Would not recommend bringing food for the whole trip. Food will be available to purchase on the road and at the campsite.
Footwear – This topic should be updated for each summer.
Sneakers should be sufficient for all land based activities including the hike.
Closed towed shows are required everywhere on camp except the showers.
Consider shower slippers to be carried – not worn to the shower houses.
Chigger problem is not significant so shorter socks are good enough.
